An Alsatian gourmet restaurant

Our traditional restaurant offers a fine selection of Alsatian specialties: tarte flambée (flammekueche), sauerkraut, homemade foie gras, Bouchée à la Reine (Queen’s morsel) inspired by Marie Leszczyńska, pig’s trotter, pike-perch on sauerkraut, spaetzle… Everything here is homemade, right down to the ice cream!

Throughout the year, the chef introduces rotating dishes and menus that showcase the very best of seasonal produce.
Following the Cordon Bleu menu in January, spring brings asparagus into the spotlight.

In autumn, wild game from the Northern Vosges makes its entry onto the menu.

For the end-of-year holidays, the restaurant La Couronne offers festive menus and lavish seafood platters.

A hotel-restaurant with an extraordinary history

Many regular guests deeply appreciate our personalized service and warm welcome. We are at your service 7 days a week and welcome you in French, German, and English.
This former coaching inn was named "La Couronne" (The Crown) as a tribute to the King of Poland, Stanislaus I Leszczyński, who stayed here in the 18th century.

After fleeing Poland, he found refuge and exile in Wissembourg.

It was right here in Wissembourg that the engagement of his daughter, Marie Leszczyńska, to the French King Louis XV was announced. The name of the hotel-restaurant is therefore a genuine tribute to our rich local history.
